Dr. Shrikant Lohokare is President of DeepTech Ventures & Advisory. He enjoys accelerating innovations, ventures, and alliances in frontier technologies that are transforming various verticals and particularly interested in emerging segments in biomedical and healthcare. Shrikant is an innovation ecosystem builder and thought leader and has been Chief Strategist and Board Advisor to the Medical Center of Americas where he established a world class biomedical innovation and commercialization center-of-excellence and multi-stakeholder joint venture, and conceptualized a translational research collaborative and clinical trial network/infrastructure, anchoring a 440-acre healthcare/life sciences hub and under-resourced region’s healthcare system, fostering solutions, economic growth, entrepreneurship, biomedical workforce development and diversity-equity-inclusion.

Shrikant has been a serial entrepreneur and is Cofounder of Tantiv4, an award winning IoT/Edge AI startup where he continues to serve on its Board, post its acquisition. Earlier, he was Cofounder and COO of Capism, a grass-roots startup motivated to create a privacy protected biomedical/healthcare data exchange platform for enabling clinical research and solutions while doing social good. Shrikant was CEO of NanoSi Advanced Technologies, where he commercialized a nano-material technology with applications in nano-electronics and biotechnology. After selling NanoSi's technology assets to a PE firm, he joined 21Ventures (an early stage VC fund and virtual incubator with $300M AUM) as General Partner, leading a portfolio of investments in advanced materials, biotechnology, and ICT. He has been on Board of Directors and Advisors for multiple startups in those segments.

Shrikant has held senior executive roles in the semiconductor industry at two Fortune500 corporations, Lam Research and KLA and most recently as Chief Executive Director of Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), a leading trade organization.

Shrikant is inventor of 12 US patents in process, systems, sensing, and automation technology. He holds a Doctorate in Physics from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an integrated Masters in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and has completed an Executive Management Program in strategy and finance at Stanford University. Shrikant is an avid reader with broad interests and an ardent practitioner of Heartfulness Meditation, a training he effectively uses in leading businesses and organizations with heart and mind. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
