Dr. Ali Solouk, Ph.D., is the Director of Strategic Initiatives – Chief of Staff at the Center for Healthcare Innovation. Ali is an engineer, business consultant, and venture investor. His research has appeared in various peer-reviewed academic outlets such as Applied Energy and the Journal of Energy Conversion and Management. He has worked for 10 plus years in developing innovative solutions for the most challenging problems we face (e.g., global warming and air pollution). He has worked with different VC funds including Zell Commercialization and Zell Founders Funds at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business to invest in early stage startups. He often partners with startups to help develop their venture growth and fundraising strategies. At Ford, he currently leads venture teams in the mobility space to launch direct-to-consumer businesses.

Ali holds five degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business, including the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, MBA, and Michigan Technological University, Ph.D.

Ali is passionate about providing equal growth opportunities to all communities around the globe through the power of business, technology, and education. In his downtime, Ali enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs, teaching classes in mathematics and business, traveling, hiking, and playing music.
